Tonight I am boarding an overnight flight to NYC. I will spend tomorrow running around NYC and seeing some people, and tomorrow evening I will board an overnight flight to London. In the two weeks I’ll be overseas I will see London and Fareham and Wickham, Glasgow and Edinburgh, Dublin and… some other places in Ireland that I haven’t yet decided I’m seeing. I’ll attend Loncon3 and Shamrokon, and spend a night at the Wickham Festival. I’ll tour the Guinness Brewery because my dad did it 30 years ago, eat fish and chips for the first time in my life, and have afternoon tea once or twice at least.

All of this is to say that, while I’ve been a little scarce here lately, I’m sure to be somewhat scarcer for the next little while. Either that, or I’ll post here a whole bunch. This is a whole new adventure I’m embarking on, and I suspect there will be pieces I’ll want to share here. So you can expect that too. My goal is to take as many pictures as I can—I’m sure my Instagram feed will have a few of them as the time passes—and you can vicariously join me on my adventure.
